Job Vacancy – Part-Time Project Manager

The Koperattiva Produtturi taz-Zebbug Limited is seeking to employ a part-time Project Manager (M/F/X).  This vacancy has arisen out of a project under Measure 10.2. that the Cooperative will be implementing during 2024/25.  The project relates to the  Support for conservation and sustainable use and development of genetic resources in agriculture.

Description of the position:

The Project Manager will be responsible for initiating, negotiating and managing the project and will work in close cooperation with the rest of the team.

Main tasks and responsibilities include:

• Writing tender proposals and project applications;
• Implementing and coordinating projects, training courses and seminars;
• Liaising with experts, professors, trainers, participants and partners;
• Attending meetings and events;
• Budgeting and reporting;
• Submitting the Reports, Financial Claims, required Data to the Paying Agency and the Managing Authority.

Required profile:

• Masters University Degree (in Business Management, Economics, Accounting or Finance)
• Between 10 and 15 years of relevant professional experience in project management and EU Projects
• A very good understanding of the EU, its institutions and policies;
• Knowledge of and relevant experience with tendering procedures (in particular: leading the preparation of tenders for service contracts, technical assistance projects, procurement, financial records and accounting);
• Strong experience in building and expanding networks of experts and partners;
• Fluent spoken and written Maltese, English and Italian;
• Full computer literacy;
• Good analytical and organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines;
• Open personality with strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills and a flexible and dynamic attitude.

The position of Project Manager is based in Malta and is mostly based on remote working.  The Project Manager is expected to work irregular working hours, and be available when called by the Management Committee of the Cooperative.
